Snow King, Russell Woods, on stilts greets a young emissary to his icy kingdom.
Hand wired beads gave this headress the feel of a royal jewel crown fit for a King. Pine branches added an organic feel and tucked away the wiring for the battery operated LED lights.

It was challenging to find a material light enough for this over-sized headdress, but I was very pleased with the natural look of the gauze and the weight of it and how it worked very similar to papier-mache.
I’ll continue to try adhesives as this piece did not turn out as light as I hoped it would. This was the first wearing. We’ll likely add more beads and sparkle for future events, and an extra strap at the back to help it stay erect.
